Upvoty is a lean, cheap voting board that leans hard into white-labeling: custom domain, full HTML and CSS theming, SSO, and API on every tier from 15 dollars a month. Usero leaves the board plain on purpose and spends its effort past the vote, drafting the code for the winning request. Upvoty themes the portal; Usero ships the fix.

Price
Upvoty is 15 dollars a month for Power, 25 dollars for Super, 49 dollars for Hyper (one project until the Hyper tier). Usero is free to start, paid from 19 dollars a month. Upvoty is cheap and flat, not per tracked user, with unlimited boards and users on every tier and the tiers gating mainly on project count. Its 15-dollar entry undercuts Usero 19, but Usero adds a real free tier. Price is not the friction point with Upvoty, the mixed pre-2.0 reliability record is. Where Upvoty wins
- Full white-label theming with SSO and API on a cheap tier. Upvoty gives every tier, from 15 dollars a month, a custom domain, custom email sending, full custom HTML and CSS theming, custom SSO, and API access. That depth of cosmetic white-labeling plus SSO at that price is a real capability Usero does not match. A team that wants a fully on-brand public feedback portal cheaply has a genuine reason to pick Upvoty (Upvoty pricing).
- A faster, more reliable product since the 2.0 redesign. Post-2.0 reviewers describe Upvoty as fast, modern, and reliable, with support now well-regarded (checked 2026-06-03). That is genuine improvement, but it is product maturity, and it is shadowed by a worse pre-2.0 record, so it is not a clean capability Usero lacks.
Where Usero wins
- It drafts the fix instead of branding the backlog. Upvoty spends its effort on the surface of the board: custom domain, custom email, full HTML and CSS theming, SSO, all cheap. Usero leaves the board plain and spends its effort past the vote, reading your repo and drafting the change for the winning request, surfaced as a PR. In the interest of disclosure, Usero is mine. It drafts the code, the merge is always your call. The comparison is really a beautifully branded backlog against a request that comes back as a fix.
- A real free tier, AI clustering, and a clean record. Usero is free to start and clusters duplicate reports with AI. Upvoty has no free tier and no AI clustering, and its review record is time-split: post-2.0 reviewers praise speed and reliability, but pre-2.0 reviews report bugs and one describes losing collected data with no recovery and no support response. That complaint appears to predate the redesign, treat it as historical, but trust-sensitive teams still weigh it (Upvoty reviews on G2, checked 2026-06-03).
The verdict
Pick Upvoty if: you want a cheap, fully white-labeled public voting board with a custom domain, custom HTML and CSS, and SSO from 15 dollars a month, and you do not need changelog or survey depth. Go in aware of the mixed pre-2.0 record, including a reported data-loss complaint, and confirm it is behind them.
Pick Usero if: branding the portal was never your constraint and shipping is. You do not need a heavily themed board, you want a free tier and AI clustering, and you want the top request to come back as a reviewable PR rather than a well-branded card.
Usero is also a broader platform than the rows above suggest. Alongside the AI PR, Usero also bundles session replay, mic-recorded user testing, a form builder in Usero Forms, and AI user-research analysis, which Upvoty does not. The PR is still the headline; treat the rest as useful substrate.
